Can’t adopt right now but still want to make a difference?
When you sponsor an adoption fee at Citrus County Animal Services, you help remove a financial barrier and make it possible for a dog or cat to find a loving home.
Sponsorships also make meaningful gifts.
They’re a thoughtful way to honor the animal lover in your life — especially when given in memory of, or in honor of, a beloved pet. If you provide an email address, we’ll gladly notify the recipient of your generous gift.
Corporate and business sponsorships are welcome, too.
If your company cares about animals, sponsoring an adoption is a powerful way to give back locally. Many businesses choose an animal to sponsor as a special project or even a temporary “mascot.” Every sponsored animal benefits from the extra support.
If more than one sponsorship is received for the same animal, additional donations will be used to sponsor another animal in need or to help cover adoption promotion and outreach. It’s a win-win for shelter pets.

Let us know if there’s a specific dog you’d like to sponsor — or we’re happy to choose one for you. Dogs must be at the shelter for at least one week to qualify for sponsorship.

A $35 donation helps cover a cat’s adoption fee and gives them a better chance at finding a loving home.
Let us know if there’s a particular cat you’d like to sponsor, or we can choose one for you. Cats must be at the shelter for at least one week to qualify for sponsorship.
